Abstract Painting

Participants will be guided through the process of creating several abstract artworks in a variety of sizes using multiple techniques and materials. Learning to successfully apply compositional guidelines in abstracted artworks will be emphasized in a non- intimidating manner. Subjects covered also include organic and geometric shapes, visual movement, and mark-making styles. Taught by local art educator Mary Hendrix. Hendrix holds a bachelor’s degree in art from East Tennessee State University and a master’s degree in teaching from the University of South Carolina. Ages 15 and up. Supplies and equipment provided.
Class must meet a minimum of 5 students to hold. In the case of a cancellation, students will receive a full refund of their purchase.
